Our chemistry students recently discovered the sweet side of science by making their own
handmade ice cream! Using just milk, vanilla, sugar, salt, ice, and a little chemistry magic, they learned about freezing point depression and how salt lowers the freezing temperature of ice, creating the perfect environment to make a delicious treat. It was a hands-on, engaging activity that blended learning with fun, leaving students excited about the power of science in everyday life. And a tasty reward to enjoy!
