At CCPA, we are diving right back into this second semester with meaningful hands-on learning! Our 9th and 10th graders are embarking on an innovative project exploring the role of AI in education. Students will research both the benefits and challenges of AI tools, ultimately crafting a comprehensive AI policy for our charter high school that will guide staff and student usage. This project not only equips students with critical thinking and research skills but also gives them a voice in shaping how cutting-edge technology is integrated into their learning environment.
Meanwhile, our 11th and 12th graders are delving into historical conflicts in the United States, exploring how these issues continue to impact us today. They will then produce documentary-style videos to educate the public about the lasting effects of these conflicts and propose actionable solutions to address them. These interdisciplinary, project-based opportunities reflect our Montessori-inspired commitment to fostering student agency, empathy, and critical problem-solving skills. As we kick off this semester, it’s clear that our students are ready to make a difference both in and beyond the classroom!
